What this policy covers

This policy describes how Mythology Blog (this website, located at mythologyblog.com) handles information when you visit. The site is a personal project that publishes mythology stories. It is operated by Praveen Kumar.

What I collect, and what I do not

I do not run user accounts. I do not ask for your email, your name, or your address to read the stories. There is no login. There is no comments database with your information in it.

The contact form (when active) collects only what you type into it - your name, email address, and message - and sends those directly to me by email. The form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which performs a brief automated check to confirm you are a human; Cloudflare may set a temporary cookie for that purpose and may briefly retain technical details about the request. Cookies and analytics

This site uses Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how readers find and use the stories. Google Analytics sets cookies that record an anonymized identifier, the pages you visit, your approximate location (country and region only), and your device type. I do not see your name, email, or precise location. I use this only to know which stories are read and on what devices. You can opt out of Google Analytics across all sites using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

This site is also served with Google AdSense advertising. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other sites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings or, for opt-out of third-party vendors, aboutads.info.

Search

The search feature on this site uses Pagefind. The entire search index is downloaded to your browser the first time you open the search box, and queries run locally in your browser. Your search queries are not sent to any server.

Third-party links

Some pages link to external sites - source materials, dictionaries, scholarly references. I do not control those sites and am not responsible for their privacy practices. Read their privacy policies before sharing information with them.

Children

The content of this site is not directed at children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information to this site, please contact me and I will delete it.

Changes to this policy

I may update this policy from time to time as the site changes. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the current version. Substantial changes will be noted clearly.
